How is the Life Path number calculated?
Reduce the month, the day and the year separately to single digits, then add those three results and reduce again. This is the component method and it is what we use. Adding every digit of the date as one long string gives a different answer whenever a component reduces to a master number, which happens on roughly one date in seven, and the digit-string method is the one cheap calculators get wrong.
Why does another site give me a different Life Path?
Almost always the reduction method. Both approaches produce the same single digit, because digit sums preserve value modulo nine, so the disagreement is only ever about whether a master number survives. Is the Life Path the same as the Bhagyank?
