The four systems, and why we run all of them
These are not four attempts at the same thing. They assign different values to letters for different reasons, so they legitimately produce different numbers from the same name. Most sites pick one and never mention the others.
Pythagorean
WesternWalks the alphabet from 1 to 9 and wraps. This is what almost every Western site means by numerology, and what most people have seen before.
Chaldean
BabylonianAssigns letters by sound rather than order, and never uses 9 at all because nine was held apart. This is the system professional numerologists in India actually work in.
Vedic (Ank Jyotish)
IndianMaps each number to a graha: 1 is the Sun, 2 the Moon, 8 Saturn and so on. It is the bridge between your numbers and your birth chart.

The part nobody else can do
Every numerology site on the internet stops at “your number is 8, Saturn rules you, wear a blue sapphire”. We can ask the next question, because we also have your birth chart: is your Saturn actually strong? Is its dasha running? Does your Personal Year collide with Sade Sati? Is that sapphire safe for your ascendant, or is Saturn a functional malefic for you?
