It is licensed for exactly the same three ascendants out of twelve as every other stone in the set. There is nothing special about its licensing at all. ## Who the yellow sapphire gemstone is for Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces rising. - **Scorpio rising:** Jupiter owns the 2nd and the 5th. So the two natural benefics with two signs each are the two that never reach the top classification, while Mars, Venus and Saturn each manage it for two ascendants. If you were designing this system to reward gentleness, you would not have designed it this way, which is a decent reason to think it was not designed around gentleness at all. ## What the licensed share actually comes to Scorpio, Sagittarius and Pisces rise 9.82%, 9.09% and 6.11% of the time at Delhi across 12,000 births. From the 12th that covers the 4th and the 8th, the entire moksha trine, which is the one placement where its reach is complete. ## Yellow topaz is not a milder pukhraj The common substitution logic runs that topaz or citrine is a gentler version of the same remedy. As a licensing matter that is simply wrong: a substitute feeds the same graha, so if Jupiter is a functional malefic for your ascendant, the substitute is refused for the identical reason. A substitute is a cost decision. It changes what you spend, not which graha you are strengthening, and the table above does not care what the stone is made of. ## What Jupiter is actually the significator of Guru carries children, wealth, teachers and, in a woman's chart, the husband. It is the natural significator of the 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th houses among others, which is a wide brief and part of why the stone gets recommended so casually. There is a classical principle that cuts against that breadth, and it matters before buying anything. A significator placed in the house it stands for is held to spoil that house rather than support it, and for Guru the textbook case is the 5th, children. Note what the sources actually predict there: delay and anxiety, not denial. So Jupiter in the 5th is simultaneously the graha of children in the house of children and a recognised difficulty, and a stone that feeds it is not obviously the fix.
