The remaining three ascendants, Cancer aside, land in neutral territory: Capricorn, Aquarius and Libra put Mars on houses that are neither trines nor dusthanas. ## What the numbers look like across real charts Cancer, Leo and Pisces are three ascendants in twelve, so the flat prediction for the licensed share is 25.00%. Across twelve thousand real births at Delhi the measured figure is 25.17%, and the refused share is 26.72%. The refused share running above a quarter is not noise. Taurus, Gemini and Virgo rise 7.88%, 9.25% and 9.59% of the time between them, and that is a slightly heavier slice of the population than the licensed three happen to be. Rising times are not equal and they do not have to cooperate with the arithmetic. Two other measured figures put the yogakaraka claim in scale. Exactly six of the twelve ascendants have a yogakaraka at all, so the flat prediction is 50.00%, and across the sample 50.04% of charts carried one.
